kiss kiss, kylie

So, this weekend we ran a bunch of errands and got together with friends for dinner and just hung around. Kylie loves to go to a new place and explore. She had a lot of fun at Joanne and Devin's house while Mark got to play some video games with friends. She stayed up until 11:30 pm that night and didn't even seem tired!

The next day, we went to Carolyn and Scott's house and Kylie got to play with Ally. She loves to kiss Ally! Here are some pictures of Kylie kissing Ally over and over again. Afterwards, she would clap and look so proud.

rain, rain, go away...

I know we need the rain these days, but we've been planning to take Kylie to Disneyland this weekend and it looks like we can't go! Even if it doesn't rain, everything will be all wet. booo hooo. We probably have to postpone it to next weekend.

anyways, I'm trying to update the blog as much as possible. Some updates about my pregnancy...I feel like I'm neglecting this pregnancy because I'm not paying so much attention to it. I guess I'm comparing it to my 1st pregnancy and that was all special and new to me. Maybe this is what happens when you do it the second time around. You already know what to expect. The last time we went to the doctor's for an ultrasound, the doctor moved up my due date by a week. She said our baby measured bigger than it should be, so she picked 8/16 as my due date. Well, that's one less week for me! So, I just entered my second trimester. Energy is kicking in a bit, but still not enough to chase kylie around. By the end of the day, I'm exhausted. The good news is that I get really good sleep at night. Thank God. So far with this pregnancy, I don't have much of an appetite. That is strange to me cause I usually eat everything and crave all kinds of food. Not so much this time...I eat a little and I'm okay for a few hours. Hmmm...makes me wonder if we're having a boy this time....? But I'm not going to guess until we go to our anatomy ultrasound, and that will be around the end of March.

Kylie has been so much fun lately...I love this age! She can't talk yet, but she will definitely let us know what she wants by pointing, crying, nodding, or one of her favorite...shaking her head. She's gotten a little bit more affectionate these days. When we hold her to dance, she would rest her head on our shoulder. When I come home from work, she would run to me and give me a big hug. ( I looooove that feeling!) She would give us a kiss before she takes a nap. And she just looooves to lay on something soft. We bought her a lamb plush from babystyle that lays flat on the floor and she loves to lay on it. We put two soft blankies in her crib and everytime she wakes up from her nap, she would play in her crib for half an hour and go back and forth between the blankets.

Other than all that, I have a few pictures to update. We went to Redondo Beach last weekend with our friends and I ate a big Dungeness Crab! looooove it! Here's a picture of Kylie and Savina enjoying each other's company...

Here are some other pictures we took that day when we went to visit my aunt. Thanks Aunt Lin Lin for taking these pictures for us!

have a good weekend and stay dry!

So, this past weekend was Chinese New Year. We went to my grandma's house to have the traditional cabbage hot pot we eat every year. Grandma spends a lot of time making it, so I can tell she's really happy when we're all enjoying the meal. It was great seeing everyone too, especially all the babies....evan, ava, caleb...and we have 3 more babies coming this year! Our family is just growing and growing. Plus, it was great cause my sister drove all the way from Vegas to grandma's house with all the kids. It was just like our old get together...I miss that.

We got our red envelopes and everyone is just enteratined by all the babies playing together. We didn't really get too many good pictures, but here are two pics of kylie and evan.

On Sunday, we went to Vie de France for breakfast at South Coast. Afterwards, we shopped around and Kylie had a blast walking/running everywhere. We took her on a carousel ride for the 2nd time. She didn't enjoy it the first time and just wanted to get off. This time, she sat there holding on with no expression on her face throughout the whole ride. After it was done, she continued to sit there and nodded her head. She wanted more! hahaha We had to distract her with something else in order for her to forget about the carousel ride. Ohh, i can't wait to take her to disneyland! We're planning to go next weekend!! I think she'll really enjoy it.

For dinner, we went to nancy's house. She cooked me a birthday dinner! Aww, how sweet...it was yummy. Kylie had a great time with baby jordan. Just check out some of these pictures!

We asked Kylie, "Where is jordan's stomach?"

She likes to lift up your shirt to see your stomach. :)

kylie's having a great time with jordan

kylie & jordan's first kiss

Other than all that, the weather was beautiful this past weekend! Sunny with a cool breeze....love it! But today, we're back to cloudy and cooooooold.

Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow! Mark and I are having our v-day dinner tonight...

superbowl weekend

We invited some friends over for superbowl sunday. I didn't care too much about the game since my team, Green Bay didn't make it to the superbowl. Besides, Mark and I were busy preparing the food when the game started. Everything turned out well...I made spam masubi and Mark made stuffed bell peppers...along with a bunch of finger foods. Kylie seemed to have enjoyed her day, especially since she had her friend Savina to play with...

Other than superbowl, our weekend was nice and relaxing. We went to Uncle Ron's to get our teeth cleaned and went to visit Aunt Lin Lin at her house afterwards. I loove her house. Right when you walk in, you are greeted by the most spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. It was such a beautiful day. kylie got to play in their front/backyard and had a blast just sitting on the lawn, pulling on the grass. she got a kick out of that.

Back to work this week. At least its already Wednesday...tomorrow we have an ultrasound appointment and I'll be working from home the rest of the day. I hope it'll be somewhat relaxing. hope everyone have a good week and happy chinese new year!
