my birthday weekend

I had a wonderful birthday weekend...filled with events and fine dining.

Thursday after work, Amber, Jun, and baby Caleb came over and brought over a chocolate/strawberry cake. We had pizza for dinner and right afterwards, we ate cake.

Thanks so much guys for coming over and celebrating an early birthday with me! That was sweet! Here are some pictures from Thursday night...







Friday after work, Mark and I went to watch a 7 pm showing of 27 Dresses. Yes, it was the movie of my choice. Since my mom was here this past weekend, we thought we can take advantage of the night and watch a movie. It was entertaining....good date night movie!

Saturday morning, Kylie woke me up around 8 am. She was holding a present and handed it over to me. That was a precious moment. It was a birthday present from Kylie...a cute frame that says, "I love mommy" with our picture in it. I love it! Right afterwards, Mark handed me my gift from him and I immediately opened it. It was a book..."Wizard of Oz"...and it didn't occur to me why I got this book. I was thinking, did you want me to read this to Kylie? After a few minutes, he handed me tickets to Wicked. Yay!! That's what was planned for the day! I found out that Frank and Kim will be joining us and we'll be dining together in L.A. Nice!!

Everything turned out great. Wicked was awesome!! We had some really good tapas at A.O.C, a restaurant Wilfred recommended. Thanks for celebrating with us, Frank and Kim! We had a lot of fun! When we got home around 10 pm, Kylie was sitting in pwo-pwo's room watching T.V. Afterwards, we gave her a bath and put her to sleep in her crib.

Sunday was another full day for me. It was my cousin, Eunice's baby shower in Pasadena. The shower was beautiful and I'm so bummed I didn't get to take any pictures. I was busy watching Kylie the entire time. The shower was decorated with beautiful teasets, precious dolls on each table, and some really good afternoon tea snacks.

When we got home, I had to capture some pictures of Kylie. She was a doll that day!

Woah, can't believe we only have a week left of January! These days just flew by! I'm finally settled in the office this week after a whole week of Six Sigma. I'm happy to be back cause I can sit in front of the computer and go home for lunch.

This week seem to move pretty fast. Amber called me last night and asked if they can come over tomorrow night so they can celebrate an early birthday with me. That meant a lot to me. I know how busy and sleep deprived they are with a new baby...and for them to drive all the way to our house means so much. yay! can't wait!

So, this Saturday is my birthday and I'm totally curious to find out what Mark has planned for me. It's a surprise! I'm excited already cause I love surprises!

Another thing I like to share with everyone is that....kylie is going to have a little brother or sister!!! Yup, I'm prego....again. It's great to know that kylie and the new baby will be a little less than 2 years apart. My due date is August 24th, which makes me about 10 weeks prego now. The doctor told me that most likely I won't make it to my due date since I had kylie so early. I just have to be more careful towards the end of the pregnancy. I have to say, its definitely different this time around than the first time. I can't just rest anytime I want...I have another one to watch now! It's been a little exhausting for me, but I try to squeeze in a power nap here and there. Hopefully, when I enter my 2nd trimester, all my energy will come back.

We just wanted to share a few pictures of our little girl...We love this last picture of Kylie holding a sock in one hand and a tampon in the other. She's becoming more and more curious. Kylie just turned 16 months last week!
